A small team that looks after landlords and letting agents turns the back bedroom is gloomy into a set of readings and a clear recommendation.

“Handy when I need to compare lighting in different places.Simple controls make it easy to use.”

Read the reviews on the App Store →The scenario below is illustrative. It is not a description of the reviewer’s business; it shows how an electrical business like the one in the review would use Lux Meter Pro.
Picture a three-person electrical team supporting landlords, letting agents and homeowners, moving between occupied flats, empty rentals between tenancies and refurbishments. The lighting complaints arrive as feelings: one room seems darker than the next, even though the fittings look the same.
Without numbers, the electrician is guessing between causes. Is it the lamp, the fitting, a dark wall, a north-facing window, or all four? Guessing leads to replacing things that were not the problem.
The simple controls matter here because the check gets repeated. The electrician walks the property taking a reading in the hallway, on the stairs, in the kitchen and in each bedroom, and the readings sit side by side in the history.
Comparing the numbers room to room shows where the shortfall is and how large it is. A room that reads at half the level of the one next door with the same fitting points to lamps or decor; a room that reads fine with the blinds open points to daylight, not the electrics.
The recommendation to the landlord is then specific: which rooms, which fittings, and a before-and-after reading once the work is done, with a PDF for the property file.
Key takeaway
When a customer says a room feels dark, a quick comparison of readings is the fastest route to a recommendation they will accept.
